As you know, relocating is a huge life transition and can be overwhelming.  I have found by creating an environment where I reduce or eliminate the anxiety of endless to-do lists as well as coordinating service providers transition to Austin becomes much easier. 

Relocation employees are inundated with new information and scenarios at work which they have to navigate.  On top of these major items they are often stressed and pre-occupied with finding a home and all the concerns associated with a purchase: finding new schools, family well-being and the multitude of details associated with moving cross-country.  The cadre of “to-do’s” and non-work related stress can often affect job performance.

Furthermore, the part of the equation often over-looked is the spouse and/or children.  Transition for the non-working family members is often difficult because they are introduced to a new town, new schools and a new social setting.  The spouse is trying to make new friends and may also be looking for work.  While families eventually end up embracing their new setting it is much easier on the transferring employee to have a supportive and happy family.
